An Interview with Daniel C. Peterson

discussion with CPART Director Daniel C. Peterson.

In addition to his work with CPART, Dr. Peterson teaches Islamic studies and Arabic in
the Department of Asian and Near Eastern Languages at BYU. He received his bachelor's
degree in Greek and philosophy from Brigham Young University and, after study in Jerusalem
and Cairo, earned his Ph.D. in Near Eastern languages and cultures from the University of
California at Los Angeles. Dr. Peterson supervises the Islamic Translation Series, a CPART
project that publishes bilingual editions of the works of medieval philosophers.
