The Biblical manuscripts found at Qumran are the oldest known copies of the Old Testament. The entire Old Testament, save the book of Esther, is represented in the manuscripts of Qumran. This unique group of Old Testament manuscripts has provided a new window into an understanding of the transmission and history of biblical text during the Second Temple Period.
