Living Essentials from BYU is a wonderful series; you are on the right path with this type of presentation. May Heavenly Father be with you as you go forward and may the people who see it be inspired with its content.

I just wanted to let you know how wonderful I think this show is! I have seen it a couple times now and have learned so much--it is so motivating! I actually feel like I can DO food storage and live within my budget. The show offers practical, DO-able advice for following the prophet's counsel. Thank you for making such an effort--it is worth it to me!

Yesterday afternoon, while watching BYU TV, I saw a commercial about the new show Living Essentials from BYU. I looked forward to watching it after the Christmas Devotional. My husband and I watched it together and we both LOVE the program. We feel it is important to be prepared and we have a year supply of "the basics" from the cannery. We enjoyed learning from the program and we have some good new ideas, to help us become more prepared. We are so excited for the show to be airing next year. We are also waiting for the show's website to be completed, so we can get information from there. Thank you very much for this program.

As the Preparedness Chairman in my ward I was absolutely delighted to view your Living Essentials from BYU program on Sunday night.  I do a monthly newsletter for my ward members. Now it looks like I need to do a weekly video!  Will you re-broadcast these early shows?  Do you have ideas on how we can best utilize this program?  Thank you so much.  This looks like a truly inspired program. I love BYU Television. I can't begin to tell you how important your programming (scripture discussions, education week talks, etc) is to my life.

This past Sunday your program talked about a family fund to help pay off my mortgage and to help pay off my children's mortgage. I have 4 married children and 2 other children that will married in the next few years. How would I go about setting up this fund? Exactly how would I use this fund to pay off the mortgages? I would appreciate any information that you can send about this topic. This Sunday was the first time my wife and I had seen this show and we both enjoyed it very much. It was very informative.

My family and I watched the Living Essentials from BYU program following the First Presidency Christmas address last night. Thank you for the great program and information!

I would like a comprehensive list of items to place into a 72-hour kit.  I realize they should be customized for each family member but I also realize there are some items that should always be there.  I am also interested in a car kit.

I would also like a list for items that should be included in a first-aid kit.  I am not really interested in purchasing a kit.  I would like to assemble mine.  I would prefer a list of the basic items.  I would also like a list of items used for more advanced first-aid.  I am not talking EMT classification but more CERT classification.

Last evening I saw the first of the Living Essentials from BYU and wanted to know when additional episodes would be airing.  I would like to see them.  This is an area that I have felt impressed to work on and the first episode was wonderful.  It gave me some wonderful ideas that I would like incorporate into my life.

My husband and I are the Emergency Preparedness Committee Chair-persons for the Cherry Hill , New Jersey 2nd Ward. After watching the Dec. 7th First Presidency Christmas Devotional on BYU TV, via satellite dish, we continued to watch the program, "Living Essentials from BYU: Emergency Preparedness". We have been working to motivate our ward members to become prepared, and we were thrilled to see this program.  We are hoping we can obtain a video copy of the program, so we could show it to our ward members, ie:  Priesthood and Relief Society.  We are sure it would be a great tool to help inspire our ward members in their own personal emergency preparedness efforts.

We live near Philadelphia , Pennsylvania , and visited the Manhattan Ward, a year after the 9/11 attack. Many of the fire and ambulance workers in our area were part of the rescue efforts.  A rescue dog, and her handler, from Barrington , NJ , the town next to ours, worked for several weeks searching the ruins, the dog passed away several months later, from injuries incurred during her search efforts.  Our proximity to NYC, and the Manhattan Ward makes the experiences of its' members, and their advice on preparedness all the more pertinent to us, and to the members of our ward.

I saw the ad for the new show today but got home too late tonight to see it.  I am excited about the content of the episodes for I know the difficulties many members face in these areas.  I helped to develop a financial stewardship class in our stake, and we are currently trying to get members of our wards to participate in these classes to help them better manage the resources that the Lord had blessed us with. So many of our members are living beyond their means - living paycheck to paycheck, no health insurance, no investments for the future.  The worst part is that many have given up and believe that there is no hope. I wish everyone could have an opportunity to see your show for I know that it is just what we all need. I look forward to the next episodes!!
